The Nickelodeon special, called “Teen Nick HALO Awards”, will air on on Nov. 6, 2011 at 8 p.m. ET/PT on Nickelodeon. Hosted by Nick Cannon, “HALO” — which stands for “helping and leading others” — was created in 2009 to praise deserving teens. The stars surprise the award winners with a cash prize and a chance to hang out with the celebrity that strongly supports their cause. This year, Swift connected with James O’Dwyer of Tuscaloosa, Ala. for his disaster relief efforts. The 19-year-old worked on helping his city and the surrounding areas that had been affected by the April 2011 hurricanes.
