According to the Tribune Wire Services, the lyrics to one of the verses are as follows: “So Fox ‘n Friends wanna put me down / Ask for my opinion / Twist it all around / Well two can play that gotcha game you’ll see.” He also calls the U.S. “The United Socialist States of America.”
ESPN let Williams Jr. go — or if you believe his story, he quit in protest — after the country singer made remarks on “Fox & Friends” comparing a golf game between Speaker of the House John Boehner and Obama to a hypothetical match up between Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Adolf Hitler, Rolling Stone reported. The singer is best known for singing the theme song for Monday Night Football.
Earlier, the singer announced on his website that he will be on “The View” and “Hannity” on Oct. 11 to discuss his views. “Whoopi and Joy understood what I was saying,” Williams Jr. said on his website. “After watching the clip of their show, I knew I needed to talk to them first. Who knows Whoopi may run for President and I’ll be her Vice President…now that will really stir it up!”
