<p>“It’s going to be no different than any other week that I was on the show,” Durbin told CBSNews.com. “We’re really going to put on a show. We’re so excited. It’s going to be great. There’s nothing like having that freedom of the stage and <a href=freedom of producers and freedom of putting on a show. ‘You want pyro?’ Yeah, sure.”

The 23-year-old singer still can’t get over the whirlwind year he’s had.

More in “American Idol”

“It’s been a year,” said Durbin, sounding surprised. “Wow, time flies. The stage is different. It’s a completely different set-up. Walking in the doors, going through security and then going up to the studio stage is going to be like ‘Whoa, this is weird.’ It’s going to be a lot of fun.”

Durbin will be on tour this spring with Buckcherry backing his album, “Memories of a Beautiful Disaster.”
