2 in 2011 has dropped off the 2012 list
(CBS/AP) LOS ANGELES – For the second year in a row, Britain’s Duchess of Cambridge has topped a fashion buzzword list, edging out Lady Gaga. This is the first time the same person has headed back-to-back lists.

According to The Global Language Monitor, the Duchess effect is year’s top fashion buzzword, referring to the way the former Kate Middleton can sell out an item in hours just by wearing it in public.
The Global Language Monitor’s fashion expert told Reuters that the terms also refers to the way Kate’s fashion choices have led to more accessible pieces and a style that is more colorful and feminine than in the past.
Also on the list (No. 5) is the term Pippa’s bum, referring to the asset displayed by the duchess’ sister in her Alexander McQueen maid of honor 릴 게임 오션 파라다이스 gown at the April 29 royal wedding. Rounding out the top five terms are peplums, braids and pajamas.
Lady Gaga who was the No. 1 term in 2010 and No. 2 in 2011 has dropped off the 2012 list.
